We stayed across the harbor from Manhattan in Jersey City at the Liberty Harbor RV park which was really just a parking lot near the marina with power and water hook-ups, but the location was great. We were right by the ferry and a short walk to the subway, which could both take us to Manhattan. We had fun views of skyscrapers and the Statue of Liberty.
On the 4th of July, we walked a short distance from our RV park to watch the Jersey City fireworks. We had a great view and they looked amazing with Manhattan in the background. We could also catch glimpses of the larger Macey’s fireworks being set off from the Brooklyn Bridge.
I highly recommend staying in New Jersey while visiting NYC, it is less expensive and convenient if you don’t mind public transportation! The more rural areas outside of Jersey City were really pretty and I could see why it is called “the Garden State!”
These pictures are just spectacular. How cool that you can stay in another state even to visit NYC!!
